Jared P. Harrell
Biography
Jared P. Harrell’s practice focuses on the successful completion of commercial transactions by combining his extensive real estate experience with an understanding of finance and transactional economics. Mr. Harrell advises individuals, businesses, and governmental organizations on the structuring, negotiation and documentation of a broad range of real estate and related commercial transactions. Mr. Harrell also assists clients in the acquisition of private debt and equity investments in real estate and energy development projects.
In addition to his full-time law practice, Mr. Harrell is an adjunct instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington and teaches a course in real property law as part of its Master of Science in Real Estate curriculum.
Experience and highlights
- Represented lead agency in the negotiation and drafting of real estate, construction, and finance transactions for a $1.6 billion water pipeline project
- Represented local sponsor in the negotiation and documentation of finance, construction and real estate transactions for a $900 million federal flood control project
- Represented government entity in the structuring of a $316 million intergovernmental loan funded and secured by tax-increment revenues
- Represented regional lender in connection with the provision of a syndicated $27 million credit facility to finance energy exploration activities
- Represented private energy company in connection with the acquisition of $10 million debt from investment bank
- Represented international equipment manufacturer in connection with acquisition of financing from Business Bank of Canada
- Negotiated and structured public-private partnership for the construction and operation of a 5-acre water sports facility near downtown Fort Worth
- Drafted state legislation to amend Chapter 311 of the Texas Tax Code and provide for intergovernmental loans to tax increment financing districts
