Elizabeth A. Cuneo

Elizabeth A. Cuneo is an associate in the Fort Worth office's Litigation section.  Ms. Cuneo represents corporate and individual clients in state and federal courts involving complex commercial disputes, business torts, fraud, Deceptive Trade Practice claims, antitrust, and employment matters.  Ms. Cuneo has extensive experience with all stages of litigation, from pleading through discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal. 

Prior to joining Kelly Hart, Ms. Cuneo was a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in its Dallas and New York offices, where she gained valuable experience representing clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies to asylum seekers and federal inmates.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. Cuneo served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jane J. Boyle of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.  While in law school, Ms. Cuneo interned with the Honorable José Linares of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey as well as for the Honorable Anthony J. Scirica of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Before going to law school, Ms. Cuneo worked as an investment banking analyst for Bank of America, focusing on consumer and retail companies.  Ms. Cuneo also worked as a litigation paralegal for Cravath Swaine & Moore LLP.

Ms. Cuneo graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in Government, where she served as co-captain of the varsity women's lacrosse team.  While at Dartmouth, Ms. Cuneo earned All-Ivy, All-America, and Division I Defensive Player of the Year honors for lacrosse.  Ms. Cuneo was also inducted into the Wearers of the Green, Dartmouth’s athletic hall of fame.

Ms. Cuneo earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was a teaching assistant for the 1L legal writing program.

  • Obtained favorable jury verdict for wholesaler client in breach of contract and bad faith action against insurer
  • Obtained favorable settlement for personal health products client in multi-million dollar breach of contract claim bifurcated between state court and arbitral proceedings
  • Obtained favorable settlement for realtor in Deceptive Trade Practices case
  • Obtained dissolution of injunction against hospitality client (upheld on appeal)
  • Obtained attorney’s fees on behalf of auto dealer client in fraud action
  • Obtained favorable settlement for energy company in breach of contract class action*
  • Obtained favorable settlement for retailer in securities fraud litigation*
  • Represented technology company in FTC inquiry*
  • Represented foodservice company in EEOC investigation*
  • Represented retailer in Title VII discrimination class action*
  • Represented retailer in discrimination and unfair competition cases involving personal care products*
  • Represented surgical products manufacturer in products liability litigation*
