Jeffrey R. Grable

Biography
Jeff Grable is a partner in the firm’s Energy section.  He has been continously engaged in private practive in Fort Worth and Tarrant County since 1996 and specializes in oil and gas law, representing clients in both disputes and transactions.

Mr. Grable's practice is organized within three broad areas:

Oil and Gas Litigation
Mr. Grable has over 20 years experience litigating trials and appeals in state and federal courts and in arbitrations. During his career, Mr. Grable has successfully tried numerous cases resulting in favorable verdicts, judgments, settlements, recoveries and results for the firm's clients.  His experience includes both jury and non-jury trials and arbitral proceedings as first-chair and second-chair counsel at trial.  His practice is devoted to the representation of operators and interest owners in all manner of disputes within the upstream and midstream segments of the industry. Representative matters have ranged from complex mineral ownership and title disputes to litigation over lease obligations and operations (see Experience and Highlights below).

Oil and Gas Transactions
In addition to disputes, Mr. Grable represents energy clients and mineral owners in transactions and conveyances, such as leases, surface use agreements, assignments, mineral and royalty deeds, easements and rights-of-way and other typical industry agreements and also advises clients on oil and gas law and regulations.

Business Litigation and Counsel
Additionally, Mr. Grable counsels and represents both individuals and businesses in regard to their general legal affairs and in civil disputes and litigation.  He has broad experience handling a variety of business disputes and litigation within the railroad and transportation industries among others.  Mr. Grable's general and business litigation experience is varied and includes commercial law, financial services, contracts, partnerships, trade secrets, defamation, equine disputes and stock laws, real estate and land-related disputes, eminent domain, and insurance as well as personal injury defense.
