Leslie Ritchie Robnett

Leslie Ritchie Robnett is a sixth-generation Texas attorney who focuses her practice on complex commercial trial law, with a specialty in appellate and regulatory matters. Her practice ranges from fraud and trade secret disputes to contract, insurance, real estate, oil and gas, partnership, and fiduciary litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Robnett spent almost a decade in Austin, Texas, where she represented sophisticated clients as a public affairs and litigation counsel with two national law firms. While in Austin, Ms. Robnett’s practice concentration was in administrative, regulatory, and legislative law.  From this background, Ms. Robnett has developed a skill for helping her clients execute long-term strategies on issues ranging from litigation avoidance to debt collection; from bill passage to administrative implementation.

In addition to her complex litigation caseload, Ms. Robnett represents clients in contested cases before the State Office of Administrative Hearings, administrative appeals into the Travis County District Court, and high-stakes disputes with government agencies. Ms. Robnett has frequently practiced before the Texas Legislature, the Department of Insurance, the Office of Attorney General, the Texas Department of Health, the Texas Department of Health and Human Services, the Texas Comptroller, the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and other state agencies.

Prior to studying law, Ms. Robnett worked as Chief of Staff to Representative Phil King (R, Weatherford), former Chairman of the Texas House Committee on Regulated Industries during the deregulation of the electric and telecom industries. After law school, Ms. Robnett worked as a briefing attorney to Justice Paul W. Green on the Texas Supreme Court. She also clerked for former Chief Justice Linda B. Thomas on the Fifth Court of Appeals in Dallas, Texas, and Justice Phil Johnson on the Texas Supreme Court.

Ms. Robnett graduated from the University of Texas School of Law, with high honors, in 2008 where she served as editor in chief and co-founder of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas & Energy Law. She earned her B.S., with highest honors, from the University of Texas at Austin.
