We actively recruit top-tier law students who possess exceptional academic credentials, strong collaboration skills, and a high level of professionalism. Our eight-week Summer Associate Program gives second-year law students a realistic, first-hand look at life as a first-year associate. To ensure you are fully supported, we assign each summer associate two mentors to guide you through work assignments, offer constructive feedback, and introduce you to our firm’s culture.
You will gain well-rounded exposure by working directly with both our transactional and litigation practice groups. Rather than just handling background research, you will play an active role in active cases and transactions, with opportunities to attend trials, closings, depositions, contract negotiations, hearings, and client meetings. You will also participate in a legal clinic with a local non-profit, reflecting Kelly Hart’s firm-wide commitment to pro bono service.
The summer experience also includes plenty of time to connect with our attorneys outside the office. Through these social events, you will get to experience the premier cultural and recreational resources that define Fort Worth, ensuring you feel entirely at home in our community.
