Kelly Hart Welcomes Robert H. Baker

Robert H. Baker joins Kelly Hart as an associate in the Austin office’s Corporate and Securities section.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Baker was an associate at Reed & Scardino LLP in Austin where he has been providing legal advice and business counsel to senior management teams, boards of directors, and in-house lawyers of public and private companies on general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, reporting requirements, and corporate governance. In addition to his corporate practice, Mr. Baker has defended employers in state and federal court cases involving workplace claims, workers’ compensation retaliation, alleged discrimination, and harassment. Mr. Baker has handled numerous intellectual property infringement lawsuits and patent litigation matters in the areas of technology and telecommunications. Mr. Baker has worked on behalf of clients in a broad range of industries, including insurance, healthcare, technology, real estate, financial services, and energy. 

Before he worked at Reed & Scardino LLP, Mr. Baker practiced in the General Litigation Section at Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom LLP.

Mr. Baker earned his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and his B.A., with honors, from the University of Texas, where he was a University of Texas Baseball Letterman and an Academic All-American Presidential Scholar.
