Michael McConnell appointed to a three-year term on the Advisory Council of the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Center (KBH) for Energy, Law and Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed Brandon Hurley chair of the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Compact Commission. The commission manages and disposes of low level radioactive waste, while maintaining the health, safety and welfare of citizens.
Dee Kelly, Jr. was selected as the 2014 Distinguished Citizen honoree by the Longhorn Council of the Boy Scouts of America. The Distinguished Citizen Award recognizes noteworthy and extraordinary leadership of citizens in communities across the United States.
