Melinda Barlow principally focuses her practice on civil litigation. Having previously worked for the City of Arlington as the Assistant City Attorney and Employment/Litigation Section Head, Ms. Barlow supervised a staff of attorneys and paralegals monitoring all litigation for the City including tort liability, land use, condemnation, employment, civil rights, nuisance abatement and dangerous and substandard structure cases. She also has significant experience handling discipline appeals and employment-law related matters.
Ms. Barlow is a Board Certified Personal Injury Trial Lawyer by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has vast experience representing individuals, insurance companies and businesses in personal injury claims, contract disputes and other tort-related matter.
Ms. Barlow graduated, cum laude, from Texas Tech University where she received her B.A. in English and earned her J.D. from Baylor Law School in 1992. She attended the University of Texas at Arlington and received her Master of Public Administration degree in 2011. She is an active member of the State Bar of Texas.
