J. Austin Franklin joins the firm as an associate in the Litigation section.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Franklin served on active duty in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps representing the Army, military personnel, federal government employees, and federal agents. He has extensive litigation experience in federal courts and courts-martial. In addition, Mr. Franklin has advised clients in matters related to consumer protection, administrative law, family law, military law, and national security.
Mr. Franklin graduated from the Army Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in 2014 and earned his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Biosecurity, Biosafety, and Biodefense Law, Vol. 4. Prior to law school, Mr. Franklin received his B.S., cum laude, from the Bob Schieffer College of Communications at Texas Christian University and earned his M.B.A. from Texas Tech University, Jerry S. Rawls College of Business.
