Mr. Lichtl focuses his practice primarily on corporate formation, business counseling, and general corporate matters. He has assisted clients in acquiring, financing and structuring industrial and agricultural developments. Mr. Lichtl has also successfully handled litigation in areas of breach of contract, construction disputes, energy insurance subrogation liability and breach of warranty. In addition to his corporate and litigation practice, Mr. Lichtl has investigated and defended environmental claims by landowners against oil companies and has investigated numerous shipboard accidents involving collision and cargo damage.
Mr. Lichtl is a fluent Spanish speaker and has extensive experience handling matters relating to a wide variety of cross-border transactions and has conducted investigations for matters in Mexico, Colombia, and Venezuela. He has also helped domestic businesses enter and grow into foreign markets. He has a particular focus in representing clients in cross-border corporate finance and M&A transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lichtl was a partner at Fowler Rodriguez in New Orleans. He earned his J.D. from Loyala School of Law and received his B.S., in International Business from Auburn University.
