Sam Pumphrey
BIOGRAPHY
Sam Pumphrey is a tax attorney specializing in helping clients strategically plan and structure transactions to achieve optimal tax outcomes. He offers guidance on federal, state, and local taxation matters, with experience in partnership and LLC operating agreements, financial instrument taxation, property transfers, and mergers and acquisitions.
Before joining Kelly Hart, Mr. Pumphrey served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Amos Mazzant, III of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. He earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Baylor Law School in 2023, where he also served as a member of the Baylor Law Review. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Public Accounting and American Politics from Washington and Lee University in 2020.
