The Kelly Hart team, led by attorneys Clark Rucker, Pati Meadows, Taylor Spalla, Kenneth Stogdill, Teddy Boschini, and Jacob Wall, successfully represented DBR Land LLC, a wholly owned affiliate of LandBridge Company LLC (NYSE: LB), in the acquisition of the approximately 46,000-acre Wolf Bone Ranch in Reeves and Pecos Counties, Texas. The $245 million transaction is one of the five largest private land deals by dollar value in U.S. history.
The seller, Wolf Bone Ranch Partners, LLC, is an affiliate of VTX Energy Partners, LLC, a Vitol investment. This acquisition significantly enhances LandBridge’s strategic position in the Delaware Basin, with the ranch generating substantial cash flow from existing third-party operations. The property is also strategically located for future growth opportunities in renewable energy projects, commercial real estate, and digital infrastructure development.
The agreement includes a commitment from VTX to provide LandBridge with a minimum annual payment of $25 million for the next five years, further solidifying the deal’s long-term financial impact.
