Lars L. Berg

BIOGRAPHY

Lars Berg represents individuals, corporations, and other institutional clients as plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including business and commercial disputes, product liability claims, trade secret litigation, trademark disputes, personal injury claims, employment law, and civil rights litigation. He also has extensive experience in professional malpractice claims and disputes among business partners and shareholders of privately held entities.  His extensive trial experience has earned him membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates and enabled him to become board-certified in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 2001, and to be re-certified in 2006, 2011, and 2016.

Berg’s professional dedication includes his past role on the Advisory Committee to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. He also served as president of the Labor and Employment Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association. The Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas appointed him to the 2009 Merit Selection Panel for the U.S. Magistrate Judge position in Fort Worth and again to the 2016 Merit Selection Panel for the same position in Wichita Falls.

Lars has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® every year since 2005. From 2008 to 2025, he earned the title of Texas Super Lawyer from Thomson Reuters. His peers have also voted him one of the city’s top attorneys in polls by Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

• Recently won a jury verdict partitioning mineral interests in Zavalla County, Texas
• Successfully prosecuted cutting-edge Internet-related trademark lawsuit
• Successfully prosecuted trade-secret and trademark-infringement lawsuit for the domestic arm of an international, privately-held entity
• Successfully prosecuted a breach-of-contract claim in an international arbitration related to an oil and gas exploration agreement
• Successfully prosecuted breach-of-contract and bad-faith claims related to a first-party insurance claim
• Successfully defended pharmaceutical company against claims that its products crippled plaintiffs
• Successfully defended defense contractor in survival and wrongful-death claims arising out of the crash of a fighter jet
• Successfully defended helicopter manufacturer in survival and wrongful-death claims arising out of crash of a commercial helicopter
• Successfully defended component part manufacturer against survival and wrongful-death claims arising out of the crash of a commercial airliner
• Successfully defended chemical manufacturer in class action lawsuit involving personal injuries and property damage caused by a spill from a rail car
• Successfully defended Fortune 500 company against multimillion dollar claims for breach of contract and fraud related to licensing agreements
• Successfully defended medical-device manufacturer against claims that its device caused serious personal injury
• Successfully prosecuted multimillion dollar breach-of-contract claim for a Fortune 500 company against a construction contractor
• Successfully prosecuted multimillion dollar medical-malpractice claim against nursing home
